Rhino releases double-disc sets of New Order’s ’80s albums

New Order, via Paste Magazine.

Paste Magazine gives bittersweet news.  New Order’s back catalog will be reissued stateside, and normally, that would be a reason to pop the champagne bottle, as they are one of my favorites bands ever.  The news has to be tempered with the fact that the British reissues were apparently God-awful, as the parent label ended up having to use vinyl as source material for some of the masters, since said masters are lost.  Hopefully, Rhino will do its best to ensure the quality of the music.  I’d hate to be disappointed in these!
