Rare is the band that knocks me off of my seat on first listen, so to my friend Helenka, I thank her for utterly blowing me away with this slice of rollicking music from Slovakia.
Banda (yeah, a pretty common name, surely, but no other name could fit such a band so properly) come from all over the Slovak Republic, though they congregate in Bratislava. They are a collection of folklore musicians who play with such a fury that it’s hard to merely sit and enjoy such music in a passive way. This is music to run around to!
