Go back to Mexico

Sunday, May 23rd, 2010

The disgusting display but on by Mexican President Felipe Calderón raised the ire of many Americans who have tired of the growing lawlessness in the borders of the Southwest portion of the country. I myself live in California, about 1 1/2 hour’s drive from San Diego, where we have our fair share of border-jumping. As there has been no serious effort to curb illegal entry (to call it immigration smacks the face of those who worked so hard to enter the country by legal means), states like Arizona are forced to deal with the issue themselves, federal government be damned.

The Washington Times excoriates the cretinous Mexican president, who has a large plate of domestic problems he should be handling (like controlling his own southern border, where Mexican federales routinely abuse Central Americans) and handling narco-trafficking scum rather than serving as a lackey for the current administration by mouthing their talking points. We need no lectures from a failed leader.

Hugh Hewitt on Donny Deutsch, Keith Olbermann and MSNBC

Saturday, April 24th, 2010

Score one for Hugh Hewitt, though it comes at a cost.  While I loathe the idiocy that comes from the mouths of people like Keith Olbermann and Ed Schultz, it seems not only harsh but stupid for them to fire Donny Deutsch for not running to the defense of simpletons, even though he tried to save their faces in a ham-handed fashion.

There is no sane person who can compare new media’s far more engaging radio (and TV, to a point, if you count Fox News) and MSNBC as being equal on the credibility scale.  If you do, you obviously don’t or listen much (which, sometimes might not be such a bad thing to do, come to think of it…).

Is Obama Ready to Be President?

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

One would figure that Barack Obama has had not only since taking office, not only since winning the presidential election of 2008, but since he had aspirations to become POTUS to be prepared to handle the duties of his position. He has proven than neither he nor his staff are up to the task of running an administration. Perhaps he’ll have an epiphany and get going with his presidency, acting like something resembling a leader. Holman Jenkins comments on President Obama’s lack of leadership here, courtesy of the Wall Street Journal.
