On the Emergent Church, Brian McLaren, and Homosexuality

The Conservative Manifesto is one of the best reads on the crossroads of politics, culture and religion. The subject of the post I came across was in regards to Brian McLaren, protestant minister, and how he wishes to “PC” Christianity, I suppose to make it more palatable to the uninitiated. PoMo Christianity is one of the reasons I’ve avoided protestant churches since my childhood. The Roman Catholic Church is still reeling from Vatican II, it’s own experiment in liberalism. It makes me appreciate my Orthodox Church a lot more. The mores of Christianity were set 2,000 years ago with the death and resurrection of Christ. If people wishing to enter the church don’t like what has been set, they are free to leave, unlike some other religions.
