About

Welcome!

This page serves as something of a blog and a curriculum vitae for me, listing what I do and what I like. For those of you who followed the old blog, you will be able to view those posts here soon.

What do I do?

Well, I do quite a few things. I am a teacher of English as a Second Language, and have lectured on music, Russian history and did a few lectures on Zoroastrianism for Dr. Lankapalli Joshi during the late 1990s.

I write a blog pointing readers to new music, interesting books and films I like. I don’t post on anything I don’t like, so don’t expect to read critical reviews tearing down artists. If I don’t enjoy it, I won’t post on it.

I occasionally host a podcast called The Hip Priest where I play ten tracks I like for my audience. Commentary is limited because the music speaks for itself.

I have lived in Macedonia, China and a few other places throughout my life, and as of August 2020, I will be residing in Brno, Czechia.

I am happy to talk politics with anyone (I consider myself center-right, though I’m open to understanding my friends on all parts of the political spectrum). I will not tolerate any threats, however, simply because you find something I like to be offensive. Show manners, and you will be treated as a guest always.
